The idea for “El Mundo de Los Niños” began in 1992, when Libre Infancia was born. This place will have all that a child can dream of. El “Mundo de los Niños” will provide a better level of education and quality of life for the children. It will have dormitories, soccer and volleyball courts, a pool, an auditorium, a school dedicated to music, workshops for cooking and carpentry, a psychology clinic, a medical area, a dining room, laundry facilities, and an orchard filled with harvestable fruits and vegetables, and a Day Care for 100 children from the ages zero to six years.

In “El Mundo de Los Niños” the children will live in a family environment which will foster their smooth interrogation into society and build their self-esteem and personal realization. Here, the children will learn to believe in themselves, which will enable them to survive and prepare them for the labor force outside of the dump.
